Quinton de Kock, who is returning after being away from international cricket for a year, continues his strong performance. After scoring a century in the last match of the ODI series against India, De Kock wreaked havoc with his explosive batting in the T20 series as well. In the second match of the T20 series in Chandigarh, the South African opener hit such sixes that he badly defeated the strong bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh. De Kock could not complete his century but he definitely made his highest score.

Even after this, his attack continued and sometimes he hit sixes on Varun Chakraborty and sometimes even on Hardik Pandya and Akshar Patel.Earlier in the T20 International against Arshdeep, De Kock could score only 19 runs in 21 balls and was out 4 times.
But in this match he left every stone unturned. In this match, De Kock scored 27 runs in 14 balls against Arshdeep, which included 3 sixes.De Kock was moving towards his second T20 century and seeing the way any Indian bowler had failed to trouble him, it seemed that he would achieve this milestone. But while trying to score a run by playing Varun Chakraborty's ball lightly, he got run out. Here, wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma, with his cleverness and agility, stopped the ball and ran out De Kock and prevented him from scoring a century.
Even though De Kock could not complete his century, he played a stormy innings of 90 runs in just 46 balls. This is also the biggest innings of his T20 career against India. In this innings, De Kock hit 5 fours and 7 sixes. On the basis of his innings, South Africa was successful in scoring a big score of 213 runs, which was enough to win. Team India collapsed for just 162 runs and South Africa won the match by 51 runs. De Kock was also chosen player of the match.
