The Indian team, which made a strong start to the T20 series by defeating South Africa for just 74 runs in Cuttack, has suffered a major setback. In the second match of the series played in Chandigarh, South Africa made a comeback in equally explosive fashion and defeated India by 51 runs. In this match, as badly as Team India failed in bowling, the fate of its batting was equally bad. South African fast bowlers wreaked such havoc that Team India lost 5 wickets in just 9 balls.

Team India had got a big target of 214 runs in the Men's T20 International being played for the first time in this new ground of Chandigarh. as easily South Africa Scored these runs and with the strong Indian batting seen in this format in the last few months, it seemed that they would not have much trouble in achieving this target. But the story was different.

Wicket fell in just 9 balls

Team India's top order again disappointed and no one from Shubman Gill-Abhishek Sharma to Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya could show their strength. Till 17.4 overs, Team India's score was 5 wickets for 157 runs and defeat seemed certain.

But still it was expected that by playing full 20 overs the team would take the score closer. But what happened after this surprised me. Team India scored only 5 runs in the next 9 balls and lost the remaining 5 wickets, which included batsmen like Jitesh Sharma and Tilak Verma. Out of these, only Ottenil Bartman took 3 wickets in the 19th over.

For the first time fast bowlers took all the wickets

Not only this, South Africa also made some special records in this match. This is South Africa's 13th win in 33 matches against India in T20 International.

In this way, it became the team that won the most matches against India in T20. He left Australia (12) behind. For the first time, in a match against Team India, all 10 wickets were taken by fast bowlers. Earlier, against West Indies in 2022, India had lost 9 wickets in the innings against fast bowlers. Whereas pacer Ottonil Bartman made the record of the best bowling performance by South Africa against India. He took 4 wickets for 24 runs and broke the record of Lungi Ngidi (4/29).
