Yashasvi Jaiswal said that Shubman Gill pays special attention to fitness, diet and training. He told that Gill plays intelligently in every situation and the team is confident that he will continue to do well. Jaiswal described playing with him as inspiring.
Delhi: India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli has always set a great example of hard work in his long career. Even at the age of 37, he is counted among the fittest players. His fast running, excellent fielding and complete dedication inspire people even today. But, when young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was asked who is the most hardworking person in the team, he did not name Virat but took the name of another player of the team.
According to Yashasvi, the most hardworking player in the Indian team is Shubman Gill. Shubman is currently the captain of the Test and ODI team. Many people believe that he can become India’s next big batsman in the coming times. Many times, due to his cricketing talent, his hard work is less talked about, but in reality he pays a lot of attention to his work.
Yashasvi told that Shubhman is very serious about his routine. He pays full attention to fitness, diet, skills and training.
He said, “Shubhman Gill. I have been watching him very closely recently. He works very hard and is very consistent in his routine. He pays a lot of attention to fitness, diet and training. It is really amazing to see. He is also a good person.”
Jaiswal also said that Shubman batted very intelligently in the Test series against England. The team was confident that he would perform well in every situation.
India had to face 0-2 defeat in the test series against South Africa. For the first time in 25 years, India suffered such a Test series defeat. Yashasvi, whose average was above 50, could score only 83 runs in four innings.
After Shubman suffered a neck injury, he got a chance in the ODI team. In the first two matches he scored 18 and 22 runs. But, in the third ODI, he made a brilliant comeback and scored the first century of his ODI career. He scored unbeaten 116 runs in 121 balls and helped India win the series 2-1.
