He said, “Earlier I was the captain, then I was no more and now I am the captain again. This is a part of life. Not everything goes your way. I was not a captain even before in my life and have played under different captains. I have always tried to do what is most important as a player. “This is what I have tried to do in the last one month.”

Talking about Rohit, chief selector Ajit Agarkar said, “Rohit Sharma is a brilliant captain and he showed excellent performance during the World Cup 2023. During the 6 months between the World Cup, we had to take some big decisions. I know Hardik has captained India in some series but Rohit is fantastic.”

Let us tell you that Rohit had made Mumbai the champion 5 times but despite this the franchise removed him from the captaincy and made Pandya the captain. After this, this decision was criticized a lot but it had no effect on the right-handed batsman.
