Team India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya made an explosive comeback on the field after injury. In the very first match of the T20 series against South Africa, Hardik Pandya batted brilliantly, which saved Team India from getting bundled out on a small score. At the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, where the rest of Team India's batsmen struggled to score runs, Hardik scored a stormy half-century by hitting fours and sixes. This was Hardik's first half-century after 10 months.
The batting of the Indian team had collapsed badly in the very first match of the T20 series. On a difficult pitch, top order batsmen including Abhishek Sharma, Shubhman Gill and captain Suryakumar Yadav were dismissed cheaply, while batsmen like Tilak Verma and Akshar Patel were seen struggling openly to score runs. Team India had lost 4 wickets for only 78 runs in the 12th over and after this, Hardik Pandya, who came after him, batted brilliantly and took Team India to a strong score of 175 runs.
