Amit Passi Century: In the Group C match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Baroda defeated Services by 13 runs. Wicketkeeper Amit Passi was the hero of Baroda's victory, who played an innings of 114 runs in 55 balls. The amazing thing is that this was Amit Passi's first T20 match and in his debut match itself, he did something which no Indian has done till date. In the debut match itself, Amit Passi scored a century in just 44 balls and scored 114 runs in 55 balls.
Batting first at the Gymkhana Ground in Hyderabad, Baroda scored 220 runs in 20 overs. Shashwat Rawat was out after scoring 14 runs but Amit Passi batted brilliantly as soon as he came to the crease. This player played whip strokes in the square area in front of the wicket and on the off side. This player hit 9 sixes and 10 fours in his innings. Amit Passi completed his century on his 9th six. Amit Passi scored 94 runs without running. Amit Passi also equaled a world record with his innings. He has reached the level of Bilal Asif, the batsman who scored the most runs in T20 debut. This Pakistani batsman had played only an inning of 114 runs on his debut in 2015. Whereas Passi is the first Indian to play such a big innings in T20 debut.
Amit Passi was born on 27 August 1999. This player has been active in Baroda cricket for a long time but he got the opportunity only now. This player had scored only 100 runs in the Baroda Premier League but despite this he was selected in the team for the Syed Mushtaq Trophy. He was selected as an alternative to Jitesh Sharma. As soon as Jitesh Sharma joined Team India for the South Africa series, Passi got a chance there and now this player has made a name for himself by scoring a century.
