Delhi: England’s star batsman Philip Salt is very impressed by India’s T20 cricket style. He says that India is now showing a new direction to the world in T20 cricket. Since winning the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team has been playing brilliantly and has not lost any series yet under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav.

Salt praised India

Salt said that England had shown a very strong game against India in the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup. Sharing the memory of this match, he said, “In the 2022 semi-finals, we were showing a completely new kind of T20 cricket to the world and had been doing so for many years. I was at number three but I did not bat because Alex Hales and Jos Buttler played very fast from the beginning. It was difficult to stop our team that day.”

Salt said that at that time the England team was very confident and had been working in the right direction for many years. But, now he believes that India has made a big change in both its thinking and sports. He said, “Now I feel that India has changed the pace of the game and now it is at the forefront in the world and has become a trendsetter.”

He also said that India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 once again proved how strong the team has become. Salt said, “The semi-final in Guyana again showed that it was very difficult to beat India that day. The game is always changing and hopefully we too will reach the top again soon.”
