It was Kuldeep’s show from here on. Dewald Brevis (29), Marco Jansen (17), Corbin Bosch (9) and Lungi Ngidi (1) were his scalps.
Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna restricted South Africa to 270 runs in 47.5 overs in the third and final ODI of the series. The Proteas were going strong, with Quinton de Kock scoring a hundred but a batting collapse triggered by the Indian bowlers ended their innings. Ryan Rickelton was dismissed without troubling the scorers, with Arshdeep opening his wicket account.
However, De Kock and captain Temba Bavuma added 113 runs for the second wicket. Bavuma was the second wicket to fall. He amassed 48 runs off 67 balls, laced with 5 boundaries before Ravindra got rid of him.
Matthew Breetzke (24) then stitched a 54-run stand with the wicket-keeper batter but the former’s dismissal started the collapse. Prasidh added Breetzke and Aiden Markram’s wickets to his bowling figures in one over.
Quinton de Kock managed 106 runs off 89 balls but even he couldn’t handle Krishna. He hit 8 fours and 6 sixes in his knock. It was Kuldeep’s show from here on.
