The India and South Africa ODI series is now to be decided in the last match. Team India won the first match of the series, while South Africa made a strong comeback in the second match. Now the third and decisive match of the series is to be played in Visakhapatnam on Saturday 6th December. But before that, a big question has arisen regarding the playing-11 of Team India, will there be any change in it? Will Team India drop one of its star players on his birthday? This player is- Ravindra Jadeja.
saturday only India and South Africa Not only is it special because of the decisive match between India but 6th December is also the birthday of Ravindra Jadeja. Team India's star all-rounder Jadeja will celebrate his 37th birthday. In such a situation, his birthday will definitely be celebrated but will coach Gautam Gambhir and captain KL Rahul give him a birthday gift by keeping him in the playing-11. Special eyes will be kept on this.
Actually, Jadeja's performance as an all-rounder in this series has been full of ups and downs.
In the first match played in Ranchi, he did wonders with the bat and by playing an unbeaten inning of 32 runs in just 20 balls, he took the team to a good score of 349 runs. But he failed to repeat it in the second match. Jadeja's bat did not work in Raipur and despite coming out to bat in the last 10 overs, he could score only 24 runs in 27 balls, due to which Team India could not reach the score of 380-390 and lost even after scoring 358 runs.Failure in this match with the bat became a reason for criticism for Jadeja.
But apart from this, he could not do anything amazing in bowling in both the matches. In the first match, he gave away 61 runs in 9 overs, whereas in the second match, he performed a little better and gave away only 41 runs in 7 matches. But he could not take even a single wicket in both the matches. Forget taking wickets, he did not look dangerous at any time and the African batsmen played him comfortably. In such a situation, there is a lot of discussion about dropping him. But despite this, there is every possibility of him getting a chance in the last ODI because as a batsman he still has the ability to make important contributions. But the player who can be dropped is Washington Sundar. Sundar's bat remained completely silent in both the matches and both times his innings proved to be harmful. In the first match, he scored only 13 runs in 19 balls, whereas in the second match, he could score only 1 run in 8 balls. At the same time, in front of the aggressive right-handed batsmen of South Africa, Team India is not showing much confidence in their bowling and in this series, they have been able to bowl a total of 7 overs, in which they have given away 46 runs and could not take any wicket.
In such a situation, Nitish Kumar Reddy may get a chance in his place, who can prove to be better in batting.
