WPL 2026 Auction — Jess Jonassen pulls out of Women’s Premier League auction

Australian bowling all-rounder Jess Jonassen has pulled out of the Women’s Premier League 2026 Auction due to an injury.

The player’s unavailability was reportedly revealed at the pre-auction briefing on Thursday.

The left-arm spinner was bought at her base price of Rs. 50 lakh by Delhi Capitals at the 2023 auction, and has played 24 matches for the side since, scoring 295 runs and taking 33 wickets.

She was part of the DC squad that reached the WPL final in each of the last three seasons.

A five-time T20 World Cup winner, Jonassen has played over 200 international matches for Australia across formats.
