Tom Blundell Injury Update: New Zealand's wicketkeeper batsman Tom Blundell is out of the team. He got injured while batting in the first innings itself. Due to injury, he did not even come on the field for wicketkeeping during the first innings of West Indies. Tom Latham kept in his place. New Zealand Cricket issued a statement informing about Blundell's exit from the team. New Zealand Cricket Board said that Tom Blundell had to be out of the team due to hamstring injury.

Tom Blundell had pulled his right hamstring while batting in the first innings of the Christchurch Test against the West Indies. In the first innings, he batted for 77 minutes and scored 29 runs in 39 balls, which included 2 fours.
