New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr was signed for Rs. 3 crore by Mumbai Indians at the WPL 2026 Auction in New Delhi on Thursday.
With this, Kerr has momentarily become the second-most expensive overseas player in the history of the WPL Auction.
Ahead of the mega auction, Kerr was released by Mumbai Indians. The 25-year-old was part of the MI squads which won the WPL titles in 2023 and 2025.
In 29 matches across three WPL seasons, Kerr has amassed 437 runs and picked 40 wickets.
In the last season, she clinched the Purple Cap with 18 wickets.At the international level, Kerr lifted the T20 World Cup last year with New Zealand.
