Vaibhav Suryavanshi Century in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Vaibhav Suryavanshi's century was finally seen in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy also. After failing in 3 consecutive matches of SMAT 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a brilliant century in the fourth match played against Maharashtra. The special thing was that he wrote the script of his century with sixes. Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit as many fours as he hit sixes with his bat. While doing this, he completed his hundred in just 58 balls.
Bihar batted first against Maharashtra and scored 176 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. In this alone, 108 unbeaten runs came from the bat of Bihar's vice-captain i.e. Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He scored these runs in just 61 balls while playing at a strike rate of more than 177. If 7 sixes were included in this innings of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, then the same number of fours were also seen from his bat.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi had come out to open for Bihar. He did not get along well with his opening partner Bipin Saurabh. Even with Piyush who came after him, his partnership could not be much bigger. But Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a half-century partnership with Akash Raj for the third wicket.
The pair of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Akash Raj broke on the third ball of the 14th over. By that time Bihar's score had reached 101 runs for 3 wickets. But the work was not completed yet. After the dismissal of Akash Raj, Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave a little more pace to his innings, after which he first crossed the half-century mark and then also closed the gap of a century.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi had scored only 32 runs in the first 3 matches of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. But, in the fourth match against Maharashtra he scored a brilliant hundred. The big thing is that the century scored against Maharashtra is also Vaibhav Suryavanshi's first century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
