Former Australian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) veteran Michael Hussey has offered fans a glimpse into MS Dhoni’s unique 24/7 lounge room at the CSK dressing room, where players can unwind and enjoy the atmosphere anytime. Speaking on a podcast, Hussey revealed that the lounge was Dhoni’s idea to foster bonding among teammates and create a vibrant dressing room culture.

Hussey, who also serves as CSK’s batting coach, shared details about the lounge room, giving fans a sneak peek into this exclusive set-up for Dhoni and the franchise.

On The Overlap Cricket podcast, Hussey praised Dhoni for nurturing an inclusive environment in the CSK dressing room, where both young players and seasoned stars can interact freely. The lounge room, he explained, is open around the clock for players to relax, chat about cricket, or simply hang out.

“MS Dhoni is just the most amazing guy. His room is open 24 hours a day. Anyone can go up there and just sit. Players start talking cricket, and some of them even enjoy the shisha,” Hussey said.

He added that players often bring their own food to the lounge, making it a place to socialize and bond. “Credit to Dhoni—he opens his room up, lots of players go up, they bring food, and it’s fantastic,” Hussey said.

MS Dhoni is set to reprise his role for CSK in IPL 2026, having been retained by the franchise last month ahead of the auction. Ruturaj Gaikwad will continue as team captain, as confirmed by CSK recently.
