NEW DELHI: Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli marked another milestone on Sunday as they played their 392nd international match together during the first ODI against South Africa in Ranchi, setting a new record for an Indian pair.
The duo now leads the list of Indian pairs with the most matches played together, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar-Rahul Dravid partnership, which featured in 391 games. Ro-Ko’s relentless commitment
Kohli emphasized that whenever he steps out to play for India, he gives nothing less than 100 percent.
“Look, I’ve been very sure of the fact that once I make myself available to play, I arrive at my 100 percent capacity. That’s how I’ve always played my cricket. I’ve never arrived to a series or a tournament at even 95 percent,” said Kohli in a video post by BCCI.
Rohit said his drive and determination remain unchanged, just as it was when he began playing at the age of 20.
“I started playing at 20. My drive was very similar to what it is now. The mindset of coming out and doing well, giving your best, whatever you have inside you has remained the same,” said Rohit.
