  • You should not use Tulsi at all in the worship of Goddess Lakshmi on the day of Diwali because Tulsi is very dear to Lord Vishnu and she is married to the Shaligram form of Lord Vishnu, due to which Tulsi became the consort of Goddess Lakshmi, hence while offering anything to Goddess Lakshmi, do not add Tulsi and Tulsi Manjari, otherwise Goddess Lakshmi will get angry.
  • During Lakshmi puja, you should try to ensure that the wick of the lamp used should be of red colour. Apart from this, do not keep the lamp on the left side of Goddess Lakshmi, rather keep it on the right side because Lord Vishnu is considered a symbol of spreading light in the world and Goddess Lakshmi is the wife of Lord Vishnu, hence while worshiping Goddess Lakshmi, the lamp should always be kept on the right side of Goddess Lakshmi.
  • Goddess of wealth Mata Lakshmi is married, hence do not offer white colored flowers to her even by mistake. While worshiping Goddess Lakshmi, offer only red and pink flowers.
  • Do not keep the idol of Lakshmi ji on a white colored carpet even by mistake. Also, do not use any white or black colored object while worshipping.
  • After worshiping Goddess Lakshmi, keep the Prasad on the south side of the temple. Before celebrating the festival of Diwali, all the people of the house should worship Goddess Lakshmi and Ganesh Ji together and take their Prasad.
