The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 mega auction in New Delhi on November 27 saw 277 players enter the pool for 73 available slots.
Deepti Sharma emerged as the biggest buy of the day as UP Warriorz used the Right to Match (RTM) option to bring her back for Rs. 3.20 crore, making her the second-most expensive Indian at the auction. She was also the first player to be retained via the RTM provision.
Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, splurged Rs. 3 crore to re-sign New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr after releasing her ahead of the auction, making her the second-most expensive overseas pick.
