Mumbai Indians will kick off its WPL title defence against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 9.
For the first time, the WPL 2026 final will break from the weekend tradition, with the title showdown slated for a Thursday on February 5. The season, which begins on January 9, will also feature two Saturday double-headers.

The 28-day tournament will unfold across two venues: Navi Mumbai and Vadodara.
Navi Mumbai’s D.Y. Patil Stadium, fresh from hosting India’s ODI World Cup triumph over South Africa in November, will stage the opening 11 matches, including both double-headers.The action then shifts to Vadodara’s Kotambi Stadium for the final 11 games, culminating in the Eliminator on February 3 and the midweek final.
