Mumbai batter Ayush Mhatre broke Rohit Sharma’s record following his hundred in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Group A match against Vidarbha on Friday, November 28. He became the youngest player in the history of cricket to amass a century in the First-class, List A and T20.
The 18-year-old surpassed Rohit, who registered the milestone at 19y 339d. Unmukt Chand, Quinton de Kock and Ahmed Shehzad are also part of the list.

Mhatre will lead India in the U-19 Asia Cup, scheduled to start on December 12 in Dubai. Mumbai reached the target of 193 in 17.5 overs.
The youngsters added 88 runs with Suryakumar Yadav (35 off 30) for the third wicket and also stitched a stand of 85 runs off 35 balls with Shivam Dube (39* off 19) for the fourth wicket.
Earlier, Mhatre scored the fastest-ever century against the England U-19 team in the youth Test. He completed the landmark in 64 deliveries and went on to post 340 runs in four innings as India won the series by 2-0.
In IPL 2025, he managed 240 runs in seven innings at an average of 34.28 and a strike rate of 188.97 for the Chennai Super Kings (CKS). The five-time champions have retained the batter for the next season.
