There has been no update on the wedding of Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal, even though both Smriti’s father and the groom-to-be have been discharged from hospitals.

The wedding, initially planned to be held in Sangli, Maharashtra, was postponed indefinitely after Smriti’s father experienced heart attack-like symptoms just hours before the event. The pressure of her father’s health crisis, along with the disruption of the wedding, is believed to have impacted Palash’s well-being as well, leading to his hospitalization.

However, Palash’s mother, Amita, remains optimistic that the wedding will take place soon. As there have been no updates on the new date for the festivities, rumours and speculation have been spreading rapidly on social media.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Amita expressed that both Smriti and Palash are feeling distressed by the turn of events on their wedding day. Amita also mentioned that she had planned a special reception for Smriti.

Despite the unexpected events that have caused a delay in the remaining wedding rituals, Amita is hopeful that the ceremony will take place in the near future.

“Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain ( both in pain). Palash had always dreamed of bringing his bride home. I had even planned a special welcome for them. Everything will be okay, the wedding will happen very soon.”

Palash was briefly hospitalised due to stress but has since been discharged. On the other hand, Smriti has deleted wedding- posts from her social media, sparking fresh speculation. Both families have since clarified that the delay is purely due to health concerns, dismissing any other theories.

Jemimah Rodrigues has opted out of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) to stay with Smriti, leaving fans speculating about what’s unfolding behind the scenes.
