T20 World Cup 2024: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to be played on the soil of America and West Indies in June. Rohit Sharma will lead Team India in the upcoming mega event, while Hardik Pandya has been appointed as his deputy.

The selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar has rewarded many players who have been performing well in the IPL by including them in the squad. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson, team's fast spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Shivam Dubey have got a place in the team for the T20 World Cup (T20 World Cup 2024).

Apart from the 15-member main squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, the selectors have also released a list of 4 reserve players, who will travel with the team but separately and will join the team if needed. Avesh Khan

Avesh Khan, the fast bowler who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, has been included in the list of reserve players of Team India for the T20 World Cup 2024. 27-year-old Avesh has taken 19 wickets at an average of 32.53 in the 20 T20 matches played so far for India. At the same time, if we look at his IPL career, the right-arm fast bowler has taken 64 wickets in 56 matches at an average of 27.84.

Khalil Ahmed

Fast bowler Khalil Ahmed, who plays for Delhi Capitals in the IPL, is also included in the list of backup players of Team India for the T20 World Cup 2024. Has taken 12 wickets in 11 matches played in IPL 2024 at an average of 31.58. Apart from this, the left arm fast bowler has also represented India in ODI and T20 formats.
