Tirupati: According to sources, the case of theft of a huge quantity of high-value mobile camera modules from a private tech-manufacturing plant in Tirupati is gaining momentum. It is being told that the stolen goods could be worth thousands of crores of rupees, although no government department has yet officially confirmed this.
Insiders say the matter had been quietly being investigated for about four months, as unusual discrepancies in inventory records kept increasing.
Layers of Noida connections and networks started opening up
If unofficial sources to the investigation are to be believed, a Noida-based organized mafia network is believed to be active behind this theft. Some sources are also claiming that the stolen goods may have been hidden at some secret place in Noida, but this has not been officially confirmed.
Sources suggest that this network was not acting alone—some other people from Delhi-NCR, who have been previously suspected in money-laundering activities, may also have been involved in this operation.
Investigating agencies are seriously examining these possible links.
Possibility of supply across the country
Inside reports also indicate that the theft was continuing over a period of time, and the stolen tech material was being transported to different parts of the country.
This network was reportedly very strong, financially backed and operating in a high-tech manner.
Some arrests are also “discussed to happen”
Although no official statement has been issued, some people associated with the industry say that some suspicious persons have been quietly detained, and are being interrogated.
Still, the agencies have not yet made any names or numbers public.
Investigation ongoing, awaiting official confirmation
The case is still under active investigation, and officials are continuously exploring various angles.
So far, no government department or police unit has formally confirmed the incident in this regard.
All information is based only on sources, industry insiders and preliminary reports.
