After the announcement of the schedule of the Women's Premier League, the mega auction started in which all-rounder Deepti Sharma, who won the World Cup for India, received huge sums of money. Delhi Capitals team tried to buy Deepti Sharma for Rs 3.2 crore but her old team UP used the Right to Match card and included her in their team again.
The interesting thing is that Deepti Sharma was playing for Rs 2.6 crores last season but UP Warriors released her and now have included her in their team again by paying Rs 60 lakhs more. On the other hand, Gujarat Giant included Sophie Divine in their team for a huge price of Rs 2 crore.
