WPL Auction 2026, Sold, Unsold Players List Live Updates: Preparations for the new season of the Women's Premier League (WPL) are starting today because the day has come for the mega auction. The competition to buy the world's best cricketers will start between 5 franchises of WPL from 3:30 pm today in New Delhi. This time a total of 276 players are participating in the auction but out of these only 73 players will be able to shine. This time too, many big names are entering the auction, including star all-rounder Deepti Sharma, who won the World Cup for India, and former captain Meg Lanning, who made Australia world champion several times.

WPL started in 2023 and before that players were auctioned. Then each franchise had prepared the squad by purchasing one player each. Then like IPL, a mini auction was held for the next 2 seasons. Now the cycle of 3 seasons is over and hence BCCI has organized a mega auction, in which all the 5 franchises retained a few selected players, while the rest of the squad was released.
