-It was announced at the rally that articles of impeachment will be filed against Trump before Christmas.

Washington. Hundreds of protesters in America on Saturday openly demanded the impeachment, conviction and removal of President Donald Trump at a rally. The event was organized by the grassroots group Removal Coalition. Many big names were present in the rally. These included speakers such as Texas Congressman Al Green and former police officer Michael Fannon. Apart from this, famous band and artist Earth to Eve also gave live performance, which made the atmosphere more energetic.

After the program, the protesters also marched along the National Mall, the symbol of Washington. At the rally, Michael Fannon said that the majority of America’s population is not ready to be ignored any longer. We are fed up with this administration.

On the other hand, US Representative Al Green announced at the rally that articles of impeachment would be filed against Trump before Christmas. He said that the situation is not getting better. Things are getting worse. We have to convict, we have to impeach, we have to remove him… so that this message goes to any future authoritarian leader that he should not even think of taking over the government.

This rally is considered another major expression of growing dissatisfaction against the Trump administration, in which the protesters made it clear that they now want change and are angry with the administration. In America, the process of removing a President from office goes through three stages. Impeach, Convict and Remove. Impeachment means that the House of Representatives should make official charges against the President. After this the case goes to the Senate where if sufficient number of MPs prove guilty then it is called conviction. The final step upon conviction is removal, i.e. immediate removal of the President from office. This procedure is very rare in the US and is considered extremely politically sensitive.
