Great Bollywood actor Dharmendra died on Monday afternoon at the age of 89. He breathed his last at his residence. After this, his last rites were performed at Vile Parle cremation ground, where many veteran actors including Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan came to pay tribute. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also described Dharmendra’s demise as the end of an era. However, official confirmation was not made by the family until late. His mortal remains were taken for cremation via ambulance after an ambulance was seen outside his house in the afternoon and security was increased at the cremation ground. Dharmendra was suffering from age diseases for some time. On November 10, due to difficulty in breathing, he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where he was kept on ventilator support. During this time, rumors of his demise also spread in the media, which were rejected by the family. On November 12, he was discharged from the hospital and doctors advised him to continue treatment at home.
