Delhi: According to the latest information, the upcoming series of the Indian women’s cricket team, which recently created history by winning the ICC ODI World Cup, has been postponed for the time being. A series of ODI and T20 matches between India-Bangladesh women’s teams was proposed in December, but suddenly it has been postponed.

BCCI sent letter, reason not clear

In a report by ESPNcricinfo, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has been quoted as saying that they have received a letter from BCCI, in which information has been given about postponing the series further. However, the reason for postponing the series is not yet clear. It is believed that this decision has been taken in view of the ongoing political instability in Bangladesh. Bangladesh team was to play matches in Kolkata and Cuttack in India.

The last series of the women’s team was to be held before WPL.

Women’s Premier League (WPL) is to be organized in the first week of January. Earlier, this was going to be the last international series of the Indian women’s team, which has now been postponed.

The men’s team’s trip to Bangladesh was also postponed

Earlier, the Indian men’s team’s tour of Bangladesh was also scheduled in August this year, in which the ODI series was to be played, but that too was postponed. Now it is expected that the ODI series of the men’s team can be held in September 2026, although the final decision on this has not been taken yet.
