BCCI is being cautious regarding the fitness of captain Shubman Gill. Shubman Gill complained of neck spasm during the first test. After which Gill was admitted to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata, but he was discharged on Sunday night.

His condition is being closely monitored under the supervision of BCCI and local doctors. However, he is ready to fly to Guwahati with the team on November 19. But the decision of his playing in Guwahati will be taken a day before the match.
