Yuzvendra Chahal got lifted by wrestler Sangeeta Phogat on her shoulders and was spun around in a light-hearted moment at the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa wrap-up party on Friday.

Former Big Boss contestant Manisha Rani pipped Dhanashree, Shoaib Ibrahim, Adrija Sinha and Sreerama Chandra to lift the trophy on Saturday, March 2. On the cricketing front, Yuzvendra Chahal dealt with a major blow after he was left out of BCCI's central contracts list for the 2023-24 season. Earlier, he was left out of India's Asia Cup 2023 World Cup 2023 squad. Chances of him featuring in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 also looks slim. The leg-spinner will be soon seen playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2024. The 17th edition of the IPL will be extremely crucial for Yuzvendra Chahal, and he would be aiming to make a statement to the BCCI selectors and officials. The Haryana tweaker has picked more than 20 wickets in three out of the last four seasons. After moving to Rajasthan Royals from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), he picked 27 wickets in IPL 2022, and 21 in the last edition. He last played professional cricket back in December 2023 for Haryana in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Chahal was part of the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series in South Africa, but did not feature in any of the matches.
