Vaibhav Suryavanshi lit up the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha with his remarkable ball-striking in the Asia Cup Rising Stars encounter between India A and the UAE on Friday, November 14.

After Jitesh Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first, India A suffered a jolt in the second over, as Priyansh Arya was run out by Ahmed Tariq's direct hit. Naman Dhir joined Suryavanshi, and the 14-year-old made the Punjab batter almost a mere spectator during a 163-run partnership off 57 balls.

Suryavanshi cut loose in the third over, as he hit one four and two sixes off the last three balls. The southpaw didn't look back after this onslaught, belting boundaries at will against the hapless UAE bowlers. It seemed as if there were no fielders on the ground, as the Rajasthan Royals batter was dealing in fours and sixes.

In fact, he was rebuking himself after hitting a four as he was primarily looking to clear the ropes every delivery. He looked invincible against the UAE bowlers, hitting equally well on both sides of the ground. The Bihar batter didn't have to try any fancy shots as his knock oozed unbridled power.

Suryavanshi reached his half-century off just 17 balls in the last over of the powerplay. He hit Muhammad Rohit Khan for a boundary between mid-wicket and long-on to reach the landmark. Suryavanshi took another 15 deliveries to convert his half-century to a ton.

He reached the three-figure mark in the 10th over, slamming Muhammad Arfan for a boundary through deep extra cover. Alishan Sharafu introduced left-arm spinner Harshit Kaushik into the attack in the 11th over. This turned out to be a disastrous move as Suryavanshi hit him for four sixes and one boundary in the five balls he faced.

Muhammad Farazuddin eventually ended the carnage in the 13th over, having Suryavanshi out caught at deep extra cover by Ahmed Tariz. The young batter amassed 144 runs off 42 balls, hitting 11 fours and 15 towering sixes.
