Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets in the first innings of the opening Test against South Africa at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Proteas were dismissed for 159 in 55 overs in the second session. On a wicket that was expected to help the spinners, Bumrah proved to be unplayable. None of the South African batters posted a fifty in the proceedings dominated by the host nation.
