Pujara said, “Both the players are playing only ODI cricket now. In such a situation, every series will be important for them, because if you play only one format then it is very important to stay connected to the game, when you come on the field after a long gap, it becomes difficult to maintain the rhythm. I myself have experience of this.”

“Will have to work harder because of age”

Pujara further said that Kohli and Rohit will now have to work harder due to their age. He said, “Both players are maintaining excellent fitness and are also scoring runs. It is expected that they will continue to play till the 2027 World Cup by maintaining their hard work and rhythm.”

Rohit created a stir, Kohli also remained in rhythm

38 year old Rohit Sharma performed well in the series against Australia. He scored 73 runs in the second ODI and unbeaten 121 runs in the third ODI, for which he was chosen Player of the Series. At the same time, Virat Kohli scored unbeaten 74 runs in the third match and played an important role in the team’s victory.

Next match against South Africa

After the series against Australia, now the Indian team will play a three-match ODI series against South Africa. The first match of this series will be played on 25th November in Ranchi, the second in Raipur, and the third and last match will be played in Visakhapatnam on 6th December.
