Sanju Samson has been a stalwart for Rajasthan Royals for over a decade, amassing 4027 runs. After the 2025 season, he reportedly signaled to RR’s management that he was looking for a new team. He was retained for Rs 18 crore.

Ravindra Jadeja has been with Chennai Super Kings since 2012, playing a key role in three IPL championships. He was retained for Rs 18 crore. Jadeja has taken 143 wickets in 254 games.

He took over as Chennai Super Kings’ captain in the 2022 season, but his leadership stint was brief, as disappointing results led to a mid-season change. MS Dhoni was reinstated as skipper for the rest of the campaign.

Jadeja’s IPL career began with Rajasthan Royals in 2008, when he debuted as a 19-year-old.
