Du Plessis praised Bumrah

During the SA20 India Day event held in Mumbai, Johannesburg Super Kings star batsman Du Plessis said, “Bumrah is the toughest bowler in the world and it is not easy to play against him. Hopefully he does not come to SA20.”

39-year-old Du Plessis has played both with and against Bumrah before. He said that Jasprit’s different bowling action and his precise line-length is a big challenge for any batsman.

Bumrah is in great form after returning from injury this year. He played an important role in India’s 2-1 victory in the T20 series against Australia. Earlier, he was the main player of the Indian team that won the 2024 T20 World Cup.

It is noteworthy that in T20 international matches, Bumrah has so far taken 99 wickets in 79 matches. His average is 18.11 and economy rate is only 6.36. He is the second highest wicket-taker for India in T20, with only Arshdeep Singh ahead of him.
