The Sri Lankan cricket team is currently on a tour of Pakistan. An ODI series is being played between the two teams. But amidst this series, the suicide blast outside a judicial complex in Islamabad has increased everyone's tension. Due to which Sri Lankan players have expressed deep concern about security. According to reports, 8 Sri Lankan cricketers who came to Pakistan for the three-match ODI series are going to return home on Thursday. Due to which the shadow of terrorism is once again looming over Pakistan cricket.
Due to this decision of Sri Lankan players, the second ODI to be held in Rawalpindi on Thursday has been cancelled. At the same time, in the first ODI on Tuesday, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series. There is not much distance between Islamabad and Rawalpindi, due to which the players have expressed their desire to return home. According to PTI report, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has said that new members will be sent in place of the returning players. After the ODI series, the Sri Lankan team was also going to participate in the Tri-T20 series with Pakistan and Zimbabwe.
