The second unofficial test match between the A teams of India and South Africa was played at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground 1, Bengaluru. The Indian team had to face a crushing defeat in this match. She failed to save the target of more than 400 runs in the last innings. Star bowlers like Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep, Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna were present in the team. But no one could do anything against the South African batting.
In the first innings of this match, the Indian team had scored 255 runs. In which Dhruv Jurel's unbeaten inning of 132 runs was included. Apart from him, no other batsman could touch the 30 run mark. However, the bowlers made a comeback in the first innings and restricted South Africa to 221 runs. In which Prasidh Krishna took 3 wickets, Akash Deep-Mohammed Siraj took 2-2 wickets, Kuldeep Yadav and Harsh Dubey took 1-1 wicket.
After taking the lead in the first innings, India batted well in the second innings. The team declared the innings after scoring 382 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. In this innings too, Dhruv Jurel scored a strong century. He remained unbeaten after scoring 127 runs. Apart from him, Harsh Dubey also scored 84 runs. Captain Rishabh Pant also contributed 65 runs. Due to which the Indian team set a target of 417 runs for South Africa.
In India's conditions, the target of 417 runs is considered impossible to chase in the last innings. But South African batsmen were successful in doing this feat. They achieved this target by losing only 5 wickets. Jordan Harman scored 91 runs and Lesego Senokwane gave a good start to the team by scoring 77 runs. After this, Zubair Hamza scored 77 runs and Temba Bavuma scored 59 runs to raise hopes of victory. Then Connor Esterhuizen led the team to victory by scoring unbeaten 52 runs.
During this period, Mohammad Siraj and Akash Deep could achieve only 1 success each. Kuldeep Yadav did not even get a wicket. At the same time, Prasidh Krishna could also dismiss only 2 batsmen, due to which the Indian team had to face defeat by 5 wickets.
