RCB Retained Players List: The 2024 Champions had a disappointing campaign in the 2025 season as they failed to qualify for the playoff stages.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed rules and guidelines for the WPL 2026 auction, the purse value for the franchises and the road map for the deadline for player retention submissions, franchises to provide player lists for the auction pool, the last date for player registrations, and the official auction player list to be released by the BCCI.

BCCI has set November 05 as the deadline for the WPL franchise to name their retentions. However, the franchise doesn’t need to retain the maximum number of players.

According to the WPL 2026 auction rules, all five franchises will have to announce the list of retained and released players. With a total budget of INR 15 crore, the teams will aim to reshuffle their squads and tactics during the WPL 2026 auction.

As per reports, the season is likely to begin on January 06 or 08, 2026, as the tournament is set to be preponded due to India co-hosting the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 with Sri Lanka in February-March.
