Firozabad, 4 November (Read). The court on Tuesday sentenced a man guilty of raping a minor daughter and threatening her father to 10 years of imprisonment. A fine has been imposed on him. If he does not pay the fine, he will have to face additional punishment.

On November 22, 2023, under the police station Linepar area, a 17-year-old minor was alone at her home when Kamlesh, a resident of Rupaspur, came to her house and forcibly raped the girl. Kamlesh threatened to kill his father if he told anyone. He had been harassing the girl while going to school for the last one year but due to fear she did not tell this at home. The father filed a case against Kamlesh in the police station. After investigation, the police filed the charge sheet in the court.

The case proceeded in the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Special Judge POCSO Mumtaz Ali. Special Public Prosecutor Awadhesh Bhardwaj prosecuted the case on behalf of the prosecution. He said that many witnesses testified during the trial. Many evidences were presented in the court. On the basis of testimony and evidence of witnesses, the court found Kamlesh guilty of raping a minor and threatening to kill her. The court has sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment. A fine of Rs 1 lakh, 2 thousand has been imposed. If he does not pay the fine, he will have to face additional punishment of 6 months.
