Virat Kohli was miffed with the former players for questioning his strike rate in the T20 cricket. He blasted them after the match and even questioned their credibility. Kohli that he had been following the same template for 15 years and had won several matches for the teams.

Virat’s strike rate and his performance against the spinners have become the main focus of this year’s IPL. His statement didn’t go well with former New Zealand pacer Simon Doull, who feels the RCB batter is reading a lot of stuff on social media. Simon said he did not need to make that statement, knowing his class and records in cricket.

“I think he is reading a lot of stuff on social media and is reacting to it. If he is not reading, then someone from his team is informing him about what is being said. He is a great player, and he did not need to react in that fashion after the match.

“This is not the first time this year. He has made a habit of making a point after the game. There is no need for him to read the rubbish on social media and then make big statments,” Simon Doull said on Cricbuzz.

He amassed 70 runs off 44 balls in RCB’s win over Gujarat Titans. The visitors won the game by nine wickets, with Will Jacks scoring a hundred.
