The 17th season of the Indian Premier League has been full of excitement, action, and drama. Rajasthan Royals have qualified for the playoffs after winning eight matches. Chennai Super Kings, the defending champions, are having a mixed season. Ravindra Jadeja has been off-color for them, forcing the new captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, to look at other bowlers for wickets.

Jadeja took 1 wicket against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai. The host team won the game by 78 runs to register their fifth win of the season.

Jadeja completes his over fast and doesn’t give time to the batters between the deliveries. It helps the spinner to take wickets.

Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu compared Jaddu with Pakistan's legend Wasim Akram.

“He bowls like Wasim Akram when it comes to completing the over. The batters are always under pressure as they don’t get any rest and the time to rethink between the deliveries. Jadeja plays his role smartly by hurrying up,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports.

Earlier, Sidhu highlighted a comparison between Shahid Afridi and Indian batter Shahrukh Khan.

“He hits like Shahid Afridi. Shahrukh Khan is talented and can make a name for himself but he needs to value his wicket and show consistency,” he said.
