Chennai defeated Hyderabad by 78 runs
If we talk about the match, in this match Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins had won the toss and decided to bowl first. After this, batting first, Chennai scored 212 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Hyderabad team's batting, which came to chase the target of 213 runs, proved to be a flop and their team was all out for 134 runs. With this, Chennai won the match by 78 runs and also jumped to the third position in the points table.
CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad played an excellent innings in this match but he could not complete his century. Gaikwad faced 54 balls and played an innings of 98 runs with the help of 10 fours and 3 sixes. Seeing his brilliant performance, he was chosen Player of the Match.
