The second match of the five-match T20 International series was played between India and Australia today at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, in which Australia defeated India in a one-sided match. India scored only 125 runs while batting first, and Australia achieved the target of 126 runs in the 14th over with the loss of 6 wickets.

Excellent bowling by Josh Hazlewood
Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood performed brilliantly and took 3 wickets and received the ‘Player of the Match’ award.

Struggle in India’s batting
Abhishek Sharma played a brilliant inning of 68 runs, but the rest of the batsmen could not support him. Harshit Rana scored 35 runs, but India was all out for 125 runs in the 19th over.

Bumrah’s return from bowling
India’s star bowler Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets, dismissing Mitchell Owen and Matthew Short. Bumrah’s consecutive wickets gave India a chance to make a comeback, but the target was small and Australia achieved it comfortably.

Australia’s fast start
Chasing the target of 126 runs, Australia scored 49 runs in four overs. Despite pressure from India’s bowlers, Australia overcame the target early on.

India’s innings
Indian batsmen felt the pressure in the beginning itself. Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav were out cheaply.

Third match of the series
After two matches, Australia leads the series 1–0, with one match abandoned due to rain. Now the third match of the series will be played in Hobart on 2 November.
