Banda, 30 October (Read). Farmers on the land of Bundelkhand in Uttar Pradesh have taken a new initiative towards adopting a coexistence-based lifestyle. In this sequence, the four-day 27th Jeevan Vidya Sammelan started on Thursday in the garden of progressive farmer Prem Singh of Banda. The objective of this conference is to understand and adopt a balanced lifestyle in harmony with nature, from farming to social life.
In the inaugural session, the pioneer of mediating philosophy, A. Expressing gratitude towards Nagraj ji, tribute was paid to him. Conference convener Kisan Prem Singh, while welcoming the participants from India and abroad, said that in today’s era, indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources is creating imbalance. In such a situation, farmers are the only class which can play the biggest role in dealing with this crisis. He said that it is the abundance of farmers that keeps India safe from economic recession, because this class does not allow the country to face shortage of food grains. Prem Singh stressed that sustainable development is possible only by promoting natural farming and giving constitutional protection to farmers.
The main theme of the conference has been kept as “Intervalence is the basis of tradition”. On this occasion, life science enlighteners Som Tyagi, Shyam Kumar, Saurabh and educationist Poonam Sahu expressed their views on the importance of rotation. Poonam Sahu said that rotation is a practical form of intermediary philosophy which can make life balanced and prosperous. Shyam Kumar said that accepting the existence of every living being and thing in nature is the root of recurrence.
Farmers, social workers and experts from different states of the country have participated in the conference. These include Padma honored farmer Bharat Bhushan Tyagi, Agra doctor Dr. Satya Prakash Arya, former Secretary to the Government of India B.B. Singh and a delegation of progressive farmers of Nepal are specially present.
In this four-day long conference, there will be detailed discussion on circular economy, coexistence based mediation philosophy and sustainable lifestyle. This event reflects the thinking of the farmers which considers farming not only as a livelihood but as the basis of philosophy of life.
