Team India’s ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer has given relief information about his injury. He suffered a serious injury to his ribs during the third ODI played against Australia in Sydney. Due to the injury, he suffered internal bleeding and spleen injury, due to which he had to be admitted to the ICU.
After the injury, Shreyas Iyer was admitted to a hospital in Sydney, where he was kept in the ICU due to internal bleeding. At present his condition is said to be stable and he is going through the recovery process. Meanwhile, a BCCI source informed NDTV that Iyer will not be able to return to the field before January 2026. This means that he will be out of the series against South Africa. At the same time, he will remain in Sydney until he is completely fit and ready to return to India.
