South Africa make history by reaching the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 final after defeating England in a semi-final

South Africa defeated England by 125 runs in the first semi-final of the Women’s World Cup 2025 and qualified for the final for the first time in history. Chasing 320 runs, England were bowled out for 194 runs in 42.3 overs.

Nat Sciver-Brunt and Alice Capsey scored fifties, but it was not enough. The top three batters, Amy Jones, Tammy Beaumont, and Heather Knight, failed to open their account. Marizanne Kapp took five wickets for the Proteas.

Earlier, South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt amassed 169 runs off 143 balls to take the team’s total to 319/7.

India will face Australia in the second semi-final on October 30.
