Former ICC Match Referee Stuart Broad: Team India is currently desperate to play a series of 5 T20I matches against Australia. This series is going to start from 29th October. Chris Broad further said that I think till the time Vince van der Bijl (ICC Umpire Manager) was in this position, we had his support because he was from a cricket background, but after his departure the management became very weak.

Chris Broad has played the role of match referee in 123 Tests, 361 ODIs and 138 T20I matches. He took retirement from this post in February 2024.
