Jasrana police station has arrested an accused who attempted murder on Sunday. The arrested accused is accused of murderous attack on the second wife due to her opposition to marrying a second wife despite having one wife.

Jasrana police station in-charge Rajesh Kumar Pandey said that he was patrolling the area today with the police team. Then information was received that the accused husband who had fatally attacked the woman was standing on Ghiror Road. The police arrested the wanted accused Brijmohan alias Birju, a resident of Nathua, from the street.

The police station in-charge said that the arrested accused, while hiding his previous marriage, married the woman who had filed the case by lying to her. When the victim woman came to know about this, she reached home with her mother and brothers to talk to her husband. Where the accused, along with his brother and father, beat up the victim and her brothers and hit her brother on the head with a shovel with the intention of killing her.

The police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and sent him to jail.
