Virat Kohli often gets stuck against spinners. The veteran batter hasn’t been able to score heavily against the slow bowlers in T20 cricket. Cricket experts have questioned his performance in front of the tweakers. The captains of rival franchises often bring a spinner when Kohli is at the crease.
Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu compared Sai Sudharsan with Virat regarding handling spinners. “When spinners come to bowl to Virat Kohli, his strike rate goes down. On the other hand, the strike rate of Sai Sudharsan climbs against the spinners.
“Sai is a better player of the spin bowling. He doesn’t target just one area and plays shots in all areas of the ground. The young batter’s cover drive is good to watch while his strokes in the mid-wicket region are mind-blowing. He is the future of the Indian cricket and will represent India across formats,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports.
In the recent match against Gujarat Titans, he managed an unbeaten 70 runs off 44 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes as RCB won the match by 9 wickets while chasing 201. Will Jacks hit a magnificent century.
Kohli is leading the Orange Cap race in IPL 2024, with 500 runs in 10 matches. He has amassed 1 hundred and 4 fifties.
Although his team has lost seven games, Kohli hasn’t slowed down. He will likely play for India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the USA.
