Jaipur, October 25 (Read News). Winter has slowly started showing its effect in Rajasthan. The temperature has dropped in the state during the last 24 hours. The minimum night temperature in Sikar and Dausa reached below 14 degrees Celsius, due to which the coolness in the morning and late night has increased.

The temperature has also dropped by two degrees in many cities including Karauli, Jalore, Sriganganagar, Barmer, Bhilwara and Ajmer. Sikar and Dausa currently remain the coldest cities in the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, at present the day temperature remains normal due to sunshine during the day, but due to the drop in temperature at night, the effect of cold has started being felt. Currently, it is hot during the day in the western parts of the state. The highest temperature is 37.6 in Barmer, 36.5 in Jaisalmer, while 35.5 in Bikaner.

Meteorological Department Director Radheshyam Sharma said that at present the depression system is active in the Arabian Sea and the low-pressure area in the south-eastern Bay of Bengal. Along with this, a new western disturbance is going to be active in North-West India from 26-27 October.

Due to the combined effect of these three systems, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in nine districts of Udaipur and Kota divisions between October 27 and 28.

On October 27, yellow alert has been issued for Banswara, Baran, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Kota, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, Salumber and Tonk.

Whereas, in view of the possibility of thunder and lightning, a double yellow alert has been issued in Pratapgarh, Kota, Jhalawar, Jaipur, Banswara and Baran on October 28.

The Meteorological Department says that after October 28, the weather will remain dry in most parts of the state and there is no possibility of any significant change in the temperature.
