Uttarkashi, October 23 (Read News). The doors of Yamunotri, the first major pilgrimage site among the Chardhams of Uttarakhand, will be closed today on the holy festival of Bhaiya Dooj. At 12:30 the doors of the Dham will be opened for the winter season.

Preparations have been started to close the doors of Yamunotri Dham for winter.

Temple committee spokesperson Purushottam Uniyal said that on Thursday morning, the palanquin of Shanidev Maharaj, brother of Mother Yamuna, has left for Yamunotri Dham from Kharshali village to take his sister. The doors will close at 12:30.

After that, with the enthusiasm of Mother Yamuna ji, Dey reached his mother’s winter stay village Kharsali village with musical instruments, where Gami is waiting for Mother Yamuna ji like a daughter.
